In the months leading up to her passing, updates about her condition were shared via a CaringBridge page set up by her loved ones.

Memorial Services Planned in Ohio and Los Angeles

A remembrance event is scheduled to take place on August 16 in Ohio. An additional celebration of life will be held at a later date in Los Angeles, where Mack had spent the last 11 years living and working.

A Passionate Storyteller and Creative Soul

Her family released a heartfelt statement, saying:
“Her vibrant spirit, creative passion, and dedication to storytelling left an indelible mark on those who knew her and the audiences she captivated through her work.”

Beyond her on-screen roles, Kelley Mack also made her mark as a voice actress. She served as Hailee Steinfeld’s voice match in the Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and lent her voice to a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq commercial.

Her final project, titled Universal (set for release in 2025), features Mack both on-screen and as an executive producer. Just weeks before her passing, she promoted the film’s world premiere at the iconic Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard through an Instagram post.

In another post, she summarized the film’s plot as a “comedy/drama/sci-fi” about two academics on a romantic getaway whose quiet retreat is disrupted by someone seeking their help with what could be “the biggest discovery in history.”
