Actress Passes Away After Battling Brain Cancer
Kelley Mack, recognized for portraying Addy, a resident of the Hilltop Colony on The Walking Dead, has passed away at the age of 33. Her family confirmed that she died on Saturday in Cincinnati after being diagnosed with glioma, a form of cancer affecting the central nervous system.

Memorial Services Planned in Ohio and Los Angeles
A remembrance event is scheduled to take place on August 16 in Ohio. An additional celebration of life will be held at a later date in Los Angeles, where Mack had spent the last 11 years living and working.

Early Career and Rise to Fame
Born Kelley Lynne Klebenow, she began her acting journey in shorts and miniseries such as Unusual Suspects (2015), Grayson: Earth One (2015), Not Your Average Joe (2016), and Unscrewed (2016). She joined The Walking Dead in Season 9, appearing in five episodes.
Television and Commercial Appearances
In addition to The Walking Dead, Mack had roles on popular shows including 9-1-1 (2019) and Chicago Med (2022). Her resume also featured numerous national commercials for brands like Budweiser, Dr Pepper, Dairy Queen, and Chick-fil-A.

Voice Work and Final Creative Projects
Beyond her on-screen roles, Kelley Mack also made her mark as a voice actress. She served as Hailee Steinfeld’s voice match in the Oscar-winning animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and lent her voice to a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq commercial.
Her final project, titled Universal (set for release in 2025), features Mack both on-screen and as an executive producer. Just weeks before her passing, she promoted the film’s world premiere at the iconic Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard through an Instagram post.
Describing the film, she wrote: “It’s a small, down-to-earth film about huge, out-of-this-world concepts, and we’re looking forward to sharing it with you.”
In another post, she summarized the film’s plot as a “comedy/drama/sci-fi” about two academics on a romantic getaway whose quiet retreat is disrupted by someone seeking their help with what could be “the biggest discovery in history.”
A Life Beyond the Spotlight
Outside her professional achievements, Mack was a talented athlete and adventurer. She played college-level tennis and enjoyed outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and pickleball. She was also musically inclined, playing the piano, and loved to travel.
