Actor Kim Sae-ron, 24, Found Dead
South Korean actor Kim Sae-ron was discovered deceased at her residence in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, according to police reports on Sunday. She was 24 years old.
A friend of Kim discovered her body at her home and notified the police at approximately 4:50 p.m. on Sunday. Authorities are investigating the cause of her death but stated that, as of press time, there were no signs of forced entry.
Kim, born in 2000, began her acting career as a child in 2009. She gained widespread recognition for her roles in the 2010 film The Man from Nowhere and the 2012 thriller The Neighbor. Her final released work was the 2023 Netflix drama series Bloodhounds.
She effectively halted her acting career after a drunk driving incident in May 2022. A court fined her 20 million won ($13,850) in April 2023.
