Infinix Note 40 Starts At Only $200 With 108MP Camera and Wireless Charging

After discussing the Infinix Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G in a previous article, it’s now the turn for the vanilla and Pro 4G variants to be featured. These two models begin at a starting price of $200, but they also make some compromises to achieve this affordability.

The Infinix Note 40 Pro, which doesn’t support 5G, replaces the Dimensity 7020 SoC with a Helio G99 chipset. Interestingly, it retains the same amount of RAM as its Pro+ counterpart at 12 GB, unlike the 5G model. Additionally, it boasts faster charging capabilities compared to the 5G variant, offering 70W charging alongside a 5,000 mAh battery. The wireless charging feature through MagKit remains unchanged at 20W.

The screen remains consistent, featuring the same 6.78-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, curved edges, and Gorilla Glass Protection. It continues to uphold its IP54 rating for dust and water splash resistance. The primary camera setup remains unchanged, featuring a 108MP OIS camera accompanied by two 2MP cameras, along with a 32MP front-facing camera.

It gets the same Titan Gold and Vintage Green color options as the 5G Pro model but has a slightly low starting price of $260.

Despite not being labeled as “Pro,” the Infinix Note 40 shares many similarities with its counterpart mentioned earlier, the key difference being its flat display, which some might see as an improvement. Nonetheless, it still boasts a large 6.78-inch 1080p 120Hz AMOLED screen.

Beneath the surface, the device runs on the identical Helio G99 chipset, supported by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage (LPDDR4X, UFS 2.2). It features the same 108MP camera as its counterparts, but it doesn’t include OIS for stabilized photos and videos.

Thanks to these slight adjustments, the regular Infinix Note 40 can keep its price as low as $200.

Infinix is also working with a BMW group company called DesignWorks to bring a special edition later on.
