CES 2024: Lenovo introduces Yoga Pro 9i, ThinkBook 13x Gen 4, ThinkCentre neo Ultra and Legion 7i

Approximately a month earlier, Lenovo provided a glimpse of their upcoming announcements for CES 2024. Now, the company has unveiled the remaining lineup, showcasing Windows 11-equipped laptops and a desktop tailored for small businesses: the Yoga Pro 9i, ThinkBook 13x Gen 4, Legion 7i, and ThinkCentre neo Ultra.

The laptops are integrated with Microsoft Copilot within Windows 11, featuring a newly incorporated Copilot key for quicker access to your regular AI assistant within the operating system. This leverages AI technology to simplify daily tasks, such as summarizing web pages and adjusting settings, to enhance everyday usability.

Leading the next iteration of Lenovo Yoga laptops is the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i. Equipped with the newest Intel Evo edition Intel Core Ultra Processors, it features a physical Lenovo AI Core Chip that enables advanced AI capabilities and fast-charging batteries. The Lenovo X Power enhances the performance of the Lenovo AI Core and Intel Ultra processors through a tuning solution driven by machine learning. This optimization enhances various creative tasks, including 3D rendering and film color correction, by allocating processing power to optimize performance, battery life, and cooling efficiency.

Crafted to be exceptionally slim, lightweight, and potent, the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x Gen 4 boasts a 74 WHr battery capable of providing up to 21 hours of video playback, around 11.4 hours of web browsing, or approximately 8.2 hours of conference calls. Its display panel features a low-power mode that adapts the refresh rate and brightness according to user activity and presence, thereby reducing energy usage. As an Intel Evo Edition laptop with Intel Core Ultra processors, it incorporates a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) and offers AI PC functionalities that optimize camera, audio, and collaboration features in compatible applications like Windows Studio effects. Additionally, the integrated Lenovo LA3 AI chip employs a software-driven machine learning algorithm to finely adjust system parameters for enhanced performance and battery longevity.

Lenovo’s lineup isn’t solely focused on productivity; they also cater to gamers with their Legion series of laptops. The Lenovo Legion 7i features the latest Intel Core 14th Gen i9 14900HX processors, offering top-notch performance. All laptops in the Lenovo Legion Series come equipped with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 graphics, featuring NVIDIA’s RTX AI upscaling technology for smoother framerates. Additionally, they incorporate AI-powered Max-Q technology to optimize both performance and efficiency, enhancing gaming experiences as well as creative and productivity tasks. A new addition for this year is the Lenovo Legion Coldfront Hyper thermal solution, which employs fans spinning in opposite directions to expel hot air from the rear of the chassis while drawing in cool air from the back middle. The Hyperchamber, situated in the middle and sealed off from open air, maintains a separation between hot and cold air, thereby enhancing heat exchange and ensuring the laptops’ hardware remains cooler, resulting in improved framerates. This innovative design allows for a net increase of up to 25W TDP in Extreme Mode, providing a maximum output of 175W TDP on the Lenovo Legion 7i, all while keeping the keyboard cooler and more comfortable, even during intensive processing tasks.
