Radhika Merchant affectionately refers to Shah Rukh Khan as ‘uncle’ as she quotes a dialogue from “Om Shanti Om” dedicated to Anant Ambani
During their pre-wedding celebrations, Radhika Merchant chose to share a dialogue from Shah Rukh Khan’s movie “Om Shanti Om” as a tribute to Anant Ambani.
Shah Rukh Khan was present at the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, where he hosted one of the events. During the event, Shah Rukh Khan engaged in conversation with Anant and Radhika as they expressed their affection for each other. A circulating video shows Radhika addressing Shah Rukh Khan as ‘uncle’ while interacting with him on stage.
The video starts with Radhika addressing Shah Rukh as “uncle” and then proceeds to say, “Because you are here, let me say a dialogue from your film.” Shah Rukh jokingly responds, “If Akshay was here, you would have quoted a dialogue from his film.” He then adds, “I’m saying this to Akki with love.”
Afterwards, Radhika recites one of SRK’s iconic dialogues, “I have tried with all my might to attain you, and every particle has endeavored to unite me with you.” As the audience cheers for the couple, Shah Rukh joins in and initiates a chant for a hug. Anant moves in for a hug, but Radhika, appearing slightly uncomfortable, receives a kiss on the cheek from Anant instead.

Anant and Radhika’s three-day pre-wedding celebrations took place in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The opening day featured international popstar Rihanna performing on stage, marking her first concert in over seven years. The following day, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan graced the stage, along with a performance by Diljit Dosanjh. On the third day, celebrities such as Akon collaborated with Sukhbir for a performance.
In a previous interview with Vogue, Radhika mentioned that they selected Jamnagar as the venue because they consider it their “karma bhoomi,” and it holds sentimental value as it is the birthplace of Anant’s grandmother, Kokilaben. She also revealed that the three-day celebrations were organized by Nita Ambani and designer Manish Malhotra within a span of just three months.
