Chopra sisters to voice Elsa and Anna in ‘Frozen 2’

  • Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra will voice Elsa and Anna in the hindi version of ‘Frozen’.
  • Chopra sisters have expressed their excitement to collaborate for a film for the first time.

Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, along with her cousin sister and actress Parineeti Chopra, will be the voice of Elsa and Anna, respectively, for the Hindi version of Hollywood animated movie ‘Frozen 2′.

Walt Disney Studios India announced on Friday that the Chopra sisters will voice the lead characters. Priyanka too took to Twitter to share her excitement to the fans. “Mimi and Tisha [Priyanka and Parineeti] are now Elsa and Anna!” she tweeted

Speaking about the role, Priyanka said, “Elsa is a fictional character who’s known to be strongly-opinionated and level headed, traits that I deeply connect with. This not only made me want to be part of the film, but also gives me a wonderful opportunity to present one of the most-successful animated films to our local audiences,” Indian media reported. PeeCee further said that this is the first time she will be collaborating with Parineeti so she will cherish this moment forever.

Parineeti too has said it was one of her dreams to be a Disney princess and real cherry on the cake is that the film is about sisters and she will play the role with her real life sister. “While dubbing we would keep laughing about the fact that we are actually like our characters in real life! Mimi didi is totally like Elsa and I’m totally like Anna! This is why this movie will always be special. I can’t wait for the audience response,” she said.

Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell voice the roles of Elsa and Anna in the English-language version of the movie.

Earlier, Disney roped in Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for voicing Angelina Jolie’s character in Hindi version of ‘Maleficent 2′, while Shah Rukh Khan and his son Aryan Khan voiced Mufasa and Simba in Hindi version of ‘Lion King’ remake.
